A Spine is an essential part of health. It is part of the
central nervous system. The spine is made up of bones, muscles, tendons, and nerves
that reach out from the base of the skull to the tailbone.
It is also known as the backbone that supports the system of
our body. A strong spine helps to get good posture which is very essential to
lead a bold and confident life. It also helps us to sit, stand, move, twist,
bend, etc.
Thus, in simple terms and for better understanding it can be
stated that it is the central support system of our body. Without it, we cannot
maintain our body posture.
As we know the famous
saying “A Man Without A Goal Is like a Ship without a Rudder”, in the same way, it can be said that “A Man without a spine is a pool of skin on the ground.”
Thus, in order to lead an active and healthy life, one has to keep his spine
healthy.
The main function of a spine is that:
1. It helps
to get a good and upright body structure.
2. It
protects the spinal cord, nerve roots, and several organs in our body.
3. It helps
to move in the right position.
The importance of keeping the spine and back healthy is connected with the overall activities of our body.
It has a direct effect on health and wellness. The
day-to-day activities of our life such as walking, sitting, doing exercise, and moving here and there become very unbearable if the spine and back are not
healthy.
The sensory organs in our body help us to feel
pressure, heat and cold, pain, etc. all these feelings develop in the spine.
The spinal column is made up of many parts normally to give
support to the back so as to maintain the body structure, and flexibility to work and manage day-to-day activities without any pain. Thus, it will not be wide of
the mark to say that the spine and back are correlated with each other.
How to take care of your Spine & Back Bone:
The spine and back are very essential in our life and as it
is the most important part of our health, thus it has to be examined and taken
care of. One can take care of their spine and back by following ways:
1. Doing
Exercise Regularly: One of the most important steps in keeping the spine and back
healthy is to exercise regularly. Muscles should be strong enough to support
the spine and lower back of the body. Excess weight can strain your lower back
muscle. Thus, exercise helps to keep the lower back and the spine strong to
maintain good body posture.
2. Lifting
up correctly: One should never lift excess weight as compared to the body’s
weight. As because lifting up a heavy and excess weight can cause injury to the
lower back which will affect the spine, causing damage and injury. Thus, one
should always take care while doing such activity.
3. Making
your spine relax: This is the most important step to keep your spine and back
healthy and happy. After working hard all day long, we should give the spine to
rest and relax. For this, we just need a firm mattress and a pillow to just
relax and rejuvenate.
4. A good
back massage also helps to keep the spine and back healthy and strong.
Subsequently, it can be said that the spine and the backbone
is the central supporter of the full body, which protects and helps to maintain
good and perfect posture and one should take effective measures to maintain health and wellness.
