Why its high time you stop neglecting your health? The best health care tips.
We have heard of the famous saying “Health is wealth”. And quite ironically, it remains as just a
saying. We neither understand the meaning of this nor do we realize the
importance of our health. So, it remains as just a mere group of words, not
taken seriously.
In today’s world, we lead extremely busy lives. Moreover, we
lead a sedentary lifestyle. We spend half of our day in the office. Okay, if
not half, then most of our day is spent in a mechanical and stressful
environment. And the rest of what is left of the day is spent commuting by
public transport. So, by the end of the day, we are tired and drained. More
than physically, we are emotionally exhausted.
What do we do, if at all, to rejuvenate our emotional and
mental well-being?
Nothing. Absolutely nothing. The irony is that this
sedentary and unproductive lifestyle is applicable to all ages. Even small kids
nowadays make excuses that they do not get enough time to play.
You may not realize how sad it is. But this is extremely pathetic.
They attend schools and colleges in the morning. After coming back, they cannot
wait to scroll through their social media feeds.
No wonder, this is the reason they feel so tired and low on
energy all the time. Currently, more than 50% of the world’s population is
suffering from severe clinical depression, acute to chronic anxiety, and panic
attacks.
One in every four people suffers from depression. What do
these stats tell us? Something has to be wrong with our lifestyle. If technology
could solve all of our problems, why are our health and well-being getting
compromised? It’s high time we start thinking about this, more as a necessity
than a choice.
Long hours of sitting in offices or at home scrolling social
media change our mindset to a lazy, lethargic, and unproductive mode.
And since we do not engage ourselves in activities that
rejuvenate us, we carry this negative energy with us everywhere we go. And
trust me, this rigid mindset shift changes the whole game.
Everything from your metabolism, physiology, energy, and mood to
behavior changes. You appear irritable to your family and friends. So, you
see, your mental health changes your entire life in the blink of an eye.
Our forefathers led a highly active and simple lifestyle.
Thankfully, there was no technology back then. So, they spent quality time
socializing with family members. They did all the chores on their own. No
wonder, they had better mental and physical health than us.
To improve our mental health, we must spend some quality
time with ourselves every day.
It can be done by doing meditation. It can be by simply watering
your plants. You can take your dog for a walk.
If you do not feel like doing anything, you can just sit
down silently for a few minutes. You may not see the changes immediately. But
in time, you will see the incredible effects gradually. You must try to limit
your social media usage.
More content does not necessarily mean you are consuming
quality content. Make sure to include exercise and a healthy meal plan in your
life. And stay away from negative people by paying attention and being
selective of the thoughts and words you allow for yourself. You will be good to
go!
If your health is good, you can conquer the world. And if
not, the world will conquer you and will become a burden.
